Honey just as the bees made it. A whole honeycomb, filled with chestnut and linden honey, harvested in Belgium, in the Louvain-la-Neuve region, from a local beekeeper. This honey was tested at the CARI laboratory (Centre Apicole de Recherche et d'Information) and received a 5-star rating. A rare and limited production, for true honey lovers.

Why this honey is exceptional

● 5 stars at CARI: tested by a leading beekeeping laboratory in Belgium

● Honeycomb honey: never extracted, never filtered, never heated: the honey remains in its original wax, capped by the bees

● Chestnut and linden: the woody and slightly bitter character of chestnut, softened by the fresh, minty notes of linden

● 100% Belgian: local honey, harvested near you, with a short supply chain

● Limited production: honeycomb honey requires a lot of work from the bees and the beekeeper, so quantities are rare

How to enjoy it

Bite into it as it is: the wax can be chewed like natural chewing gum, then spat out or swallowed (it is edible).

On a platter: place the honeycomb on a board with cheeses (goat, comté, blue), walnuts and figs. It's sure to impress your guests.

For breakfast: a slice of honeycomb on warm toast, Greek yogurt or porridge.

Gift idea: a spectacular and authentic product, perfect for gifting.

Frequently asked questions

Can you eat the wax?

Yes, beeswax is edible. You can chew it and then spit it out, or swallow it in small quantities.

What is CARI?

CARI (Centre Apicole de Recherche et d'Information) is a leading Belgian association in the field of beekeeping. Its laboratory tests the quality of honeys.

Why does the weight vary from one honeycomb to another?

Each honeycomb is a natural product, made by the bees: its size and weight are never exactly identical. We therefore offer several sizes, with the weight indicated for each variant.

Why is honeycomb honey more expensive?

To produce a honeycomb, the bees must first make the wax, which requires a lot of energy. The beekeeper cannot reuse the frames: the yield is much lower than that of extracted honey.

How to store it?

At room temperature, in its closed box, away from heat. In the refrigerator, it crystallizes faster.

Warning: Honey should not be given to children under 12 months. It is normal for natural honey to crystallize over time: this is not a defect but a sign of authenticity.
